Sweden: Final photo roundup

I thought I'd cap off our posts of our trip to Sweden with a roundup of random photos.

Our Swedish family wanted to have an early birthday celebration for our soon-to-be-2-year-old. The party included a traditional white cake (made from scratch, of course) topped with homemade whipped cream and fresh strawberries. It was delicious.

There were several playgrounds, including this one, close to Farmor and Farfar's house that we visited almost every day with the girls. I just loved the wide, open spaces surrounding all the playgrounds.

A cool play area right outside the Universeum, the family-centered science museum we visited.

The view of Farmor and Farfar's lovely garden from the second-floor room (their master bedroom) we slept in during our stay. It was a nice view to wake up to each morning.

Our girls spent a lot of time playing with water toys (and a couple times wading inside the pool) in Farmor and Farfar's backyard.

We spent an afternoon at Göteborgs Stadsmuseum, or Gothenburg City Musueum, which houses Sweden's only preserved Viking ship, the Äskekärr Ship.

Bye, Sweden! We're already looking forward to next time. :)

Annika: Hi there and thanks for stopping by our blog! Yes, we absolutely have to meet up next time we visit. I want to meet your kids too! And I guess seeing your hubby again would be all right too. Hee hee.

We were too rushed to meet up with any of my friends during our 11-day stay but next year, we're hoping to stay for three weeks. If everything works out, we'll have plenty of time to hang out.
