Beyond IKEA and Volvo: Manly reasons to love Sweden

The sight of a man pushing a stroller with his child while the mother is elsewhere is not uncommon in Sweden, where 80 percent of fathers take "daddy leave." Zee took this picture in Gothenburg when we went to visit last summer.

In Sweden, parents get 13 months of combined maternity and paternity leave. At least two of those months have to be used by the father.

The New York Times published an article recently about that and other policies that the Nordic nation has implemented to encourage fathers to spend less time at the office and more time at home with the family.

How often do you wash your pants?

Yes, I'm going there. You've been warned.

I hardly ever get stains on my pants. And I don't sweat a lot, so they're free from funky smells as well. As a result, when I change out of my pants and put on shorts every day, the pants go back on a hanger in the closet.
